Karma Being what it is...

So you know what they say about Karma, right?  Back at the beginning of the month I was so glib.  "I finished my project early.  I'm going to make another one because I don't like how this one turned out. I'm going to make another one because I can make it better."  What a wanker.

I got so busy with my new position I almost did NOT get this done.  So here it is, right down to the wire and I'm just finishing my project.  That's what I get for showing off.

It's like when you were a teenager and you were showing off for that boy or girl that you had a huge crush on.  You always end up running into a tree or something when that special someone is looking.

So now that I have been humbled, I will try to do better next month and if I finish early I will not gloat.

Anyway, I did make a second wreath and I do think it turned out with a more finished look but honestly, if you are looking head on,  you cannot tell that the back of the wreath is wrapped.  So, if you are not a wing nut, like I am, you don't have to wrap the Styrofoam form before you start pinning.

One down, eleven more to go.

  1. Hahaha I love your squirrel moments. My sister (kitten britches on ALYOF) calls it being like a ping pong in a wind tunnel. My spouse says it is like a fart in a hot skillet. (?) But we creative types love ideas sew much!!! You are sew funny. I was intrigued by your photo on ALYOF, a Christmas Wreath. By January, I am so done with Christmas crafting and finished or not, really glad I can start a new list. I totally can relate to your intentions, that is how I want to be judged. Not by my results, for sure. The wreath turned out very nice. Wish I was your recipient friend. I am going to look at your other blog posts. And, yay for meeting goals and finishing. YAY!! I love reading your blog and can't wait to see what next month brings.

    1. Jane: Thank you for your lovely comments. I can just imagine my brother trying to recreate the, "Fart on a hot skillet." I laughed thinking about that all day. I don't know if I'll continue to be funny but I'll put my best foot forward.
