Oh Pooo:
I know the month is not over yet but it may as well be for me and my hopes of finishing my wallets. I am coming up on some major deadlines at work and I have been working a lot of extra hours to make sure I'm more than ready.
My job is getting in the way of my life!!! But it is just temporary and my job lets me afford all my hobbies so I'll just shut up about it already.
BUT.....
I attended a "Sew - In" at my local quilt shop, "Fabric Boutique," this weekend and I am very excited about the things I actually DID complete. Or in the case of two of the items, almost completed.
The first is a Tulip bag for my BFF's ten year old Diva, Miss Alexia. I have also purchased the fabrics to make her two besties matching bags. The heart fabric will be the same for all three but the zebra will be pink and then purple for the other girls. These are for Christmas 2014. Yes, I start this early.
The next is a zippered notion case. I have had my eye on this for some time and if it works out the way I hope I will make more for my knitting ladies. Now that I have worked out the kinks on one for myself I have some ideas to make it a little less, "Infuriating," while sewing. So, I will give it another try and see what happens.
Finally, I promised Jetta a princess quilt and I finally found the right fabrics. AND, Lance was willing to trade for the long arm quilting so now all I have to do is finish the binding. I do all my bindings by hand. Not because I'm anything special but because that is how I was taught (Shout out to Cher) and I don't know how to do it any other way. I may actually get the book and Jetta's quilt bound at tomorrow night's Friendship Stars meeting.
I am still going to try to finish the wallets but I give it only a 10% chance of success.
Thanks for checking in. Let me know what you think.
