So you know what they say about Karma, right? Back at the beginning of the month I was so glib. "I finished my project early. I'm going to make another one because I don't like how this one turned out. I'm going to make another one because I can make it better." What a wanker.
I got so busy with my new position I almost did NOT get this done. So here it is, right down to the wire and I'm just finishing my project. That's what I get for showing off.
It's like when you were a teenager and you were showing off for that boy or girl that you had a huge crush on. You always end up running into a tree or something when that special someone is looking.
So now that I have been humbled, I will try to do better next month and if I finish early I will not gloat.
Anyway, I did make a second wreath and I do think it turned out with a more finished look but honestly, if you are looking head on, you cannot tell that the back of the wreath is wrapped. So, if you are not a wing nut, like I am, you don't have to wrap the Styrofoam form before you start pinning.
One down, eleven more to go.

Wreath Amendment
Well, I am very much ahead of schedule and I am posting a photo of the completed project. However, I am not thrilled with how this turned out. I had a great idea about half way through and was too lazy to take it all apart so I am going to make a second wreath utilizing my ideas. It isn't that the designer didn't do a great job, they did. I'm just very peculiar and I want it so that you cannot see anything other than the finished product. I want to wrap the Styrofoam completely before starting the project so when it is completed you cannot see anything but fabric. They way the directions are written now, if you turn the piece around all you see is Styrofoam...I'm not a fan. So, I am amending my original post and my January 2014 goal will now be to complete two wreaths and post. Can you say, "Over-achiever?"

January 2014 Goal
This is going to be the first project I try to teach myself this year. I have made, "Quilted Balls" for all sorts of different occasions over the years and I recently found this pattern which is the same, no sew, concept but in the form of a wreath. The photo of the finished project looks extravagant. The little fabric squares you see below are from fabrics my mother had cut for me years ago. I have an entire show box filled with Christmas themed fabrics all cut like this so I have more than enough fabric to get started and I think this first one I finish I will give to my brother, Sean. This will actually be the second thing I will have made for him out of fabrics that had belonged to Joann.
If I had been born in 1985...
If I had been born in 1985 it would have, no doubt, taken me five minutes to design this page. But since I was born in 1967 it has taken me a number of attempts as well as days to complete. I am still not sure that I have done it correctly and I still have night signed up for the original task that brought me here. Hopefully that will go smoothly now that I have all of this completed. If it does not go well then I would imagine you will find this machine in the bottom of my pool tomorrow morning.
